Clemson Apparel Research offers a variety of pattern making services.  In addition to making patterns for both apparel and non-apparel items, CAR’s staff supports other product development functions ranging from grading to marking to specification development and/or critique.  The staff serves as a resource for clients who seek sizing and fit information.  When requested the staff will conduct fabric utilization projects.  CAR works extensively with made to measure apparel.
The CAR staff works primarily on the Gerber Accumark CAD system.  They are experts in Micromark to Accumark conversions.  They use Lectra Systems upon request. 
Clients for pattern making services include entrepreneurs, commercial industry, the U.S. government, and the U.S. Military.  CAR often works with individuals who want to develop a single product and launch a business.  CAR staff frequently works on proprietary projects and the staff is cleared for classified work.
